In late 2019, CI&T partnered with VTEX on a groundbreaking effort that transformed Carrefour Brazil into the country's leading digital grocer. This case study provides a view into how we implemented this ambitious project.

Technology meets innovation, driving business results and autonomy through an enhanced customer experience.

As the French multinational's largest market outside France, Carrefour Brazil sells more than 25 million units per year across 817 storefronts. The company sought to become the leading e-commerce grocery provider in the country as part of its digital transformation strategy.

Realising this ambitious goal required a powerful new digital commerce solution, a complete migration roadmap, and the right expertise to deliver a successful, complex project.

Paulo Farroco
“It was necessary for this to happen in the very short term and the decisions were much more collective and the responsibility of each team with a clear purpose.”

Paulo Farroco, CIO of Carrefour

Jamal Almeida VTEX
“We had to build, together with CI&T, an application to migrate all Hybris catalogs to VTEX. This was a huge challenge due to the time constraint, but we were ready to get it up and running. And so we did.”

Jamal Almeida, VTEX Solutions Architect
